Nancy Henning became a permanent resident of Cudjoe Key in 2005, relocating from Newport and Jamestown, Rhode Island (always trying to live on an island!)
She was immediately inspired by the tropical beauty and colors of the Florida Keys. Nancy's favorite subjects are the spectacular flowers, waters, skies and landscapes all around her.
Nancy paints with acrylics on canvas and oils on canvas or board. She regularly paints with the Key West Plein Air Painters, an informal group of painters capturing the sights around Key West.
Nancy is a member of the Lower Keys Artists Network, The Studios of Key West and the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. She had a juried entry in the Sodu Gallery’s “From a Woman’s Hand” art show in 2009, 2010, and 2012. Nancy participated in the Anne McKee Artists Fund Auctions in 2010 and 2012-2018. She was a recipient of an Anne McKee grant, www.mckeefund.org , for the 2010-2011 seasons. Her work is displayed at the Key West Art Center, www.keywestartcenter.com, 301 Front Street, Key West.
